(This is really (OT))
When I read the sentence on printing of an article I got a flash back.
The first time I ever saw a color ink jet printer print out was when Dr
Sukumar Mehta had sent me a New Years greeting many years ago which had
been printed using a color printer (which was a very rare thing in those
days !!!!).
I bet he doesn't remember that but it was something which on seeing
made me say "Wow". Now we take these things for granted !!!
I remember trying to desperately download a 112 Kb file that was sent
in the HSF server long ago with a jittery dial up connection and I was
really p**&^d off because it would take forever to download it (I had to
then do it after 11 PM as that was the "free time" when we could
download "large attachments". It finally was downloaded after repeated
broken downloads at 2.00 AM. How things change !!
I still remember Ovidio making a video of the eMAZE in Mexico and
sending to Dr Levinson who made it digital and posted it to me (It first
went to Indonesia and was redirected thereafter to India !!!) and today
I can receive a large file effortlessly via Pando. !!
Things have changed.
What do members think will be our life a decade later ?
