I am confused as to whether your (Indian) multiple holidays derive from the Hindu value of pantheism or the British concept of fairness, as a secular fairness to all and perhaps secualrly irrelevant religions. Or an Indian syncretism of both. Classical British "fairness" I would proprose does not provide for the category of irrelevant. (A subject way "off topic".) Feel free to take private.

India is by definition in its constitution a "Secular Democratic
Republic" country so we have Holidays for major religious groups.(You
will be surprised to note that there are many countries that have
"Democracy" in their constitution but are not labeled "Secular" in it -
how this is interpreted and used and misused by all politicians around
the world (including India) is a different story !!) So Christmas is a
Holiday and while I may not celebrate it in the traditional sense ,
there a re a lot of Christian staff nurses etc who do celebrate it .
Similarly we have Holidays for Hindu, Muslim , Buddhist Parsi and Jain
festivals too. Some of these are "general holidays" and some are called
"Restricted Holidays". So we are allotted "X" no of General Holidays
and "Y" number of restricted Holidays and we can choose the Restricted
Holidays according to our liking (provided it doesn't interfere with
work) .
Christmas and Good Friday are the usual Christian General Holidays
similarly Id and last day of Ramzan are Muslim General holidays . There
are a lot of Holidays for Hindu's since we have a a large Hindu Pantheon
and there are Mandatory Holidays like Independence day and Republic Day etc.
