I don't like them either (Lawers). The fear of them might change the practices of cardiologists and the device makers and send the deserving patients to surgery.

Although I usually refuse to watch MSNB, I will admit to following almost any seemingly ridiculous argument to see where it leads. Are you implying that malpractice lawyers serve critical and beneficial functions in our health care system? And if so, how do they help our surgical patients?
