[HSF] (OT) Drug Eluting Stents of the market?

Dear Hal,
This could turn in to a major problem for not only the companies but also for the Hospitals and Cardiologists. Most of these stents were used off label.
I hope the hospitals realize and stop the cardiologists from using it indiscriminately before the Lawers jump in.

Dear Chand,
Thanks for referring me to the MSNIBC link. That report is exactly what I
have been telling my referrals for the last few months. I have no doubts
that the legal fallout is going to be tremendous. If fallacious data on
silicone breast implants could bankrupt Dow Chemical 15 years ago, think what a
real threat, DES, could do to Boston Scientific and J & J. As to what this
means to cardiac surgery, I hope and believe that the cards will be less likely
to stent stable 3VD for the time being. This should translate into a
stabilization or increase in CABG. Time will tell.
Hal
