Ben,
  Thanks for your inciteful comments.  I'm glad that you  appreciate my 
honesty.  I've got no problem with letting people know my  triumphs and my 
failures. No, I don't have any idea what blood product use  contributes to the M and M 
of my patients.  However, it must not be too bad  since my practice continues 
to grow.  Believe me, if I was getting bad  results, referrals and regulatory 
agencies would intervene.  I still get  ATN in some patients that I don't use 
aprotinin.  However, I'm absolutely  convinced that my aprotinin patients 
have a much higher incidence.
  As I stated in an earlier post, both of those patients from  yesterday were 
extubated and sitting in the chair when I last checked.
