Nothing but 90% would change my plan. I would do the carotids first unless very compelling cardiac symptoms and anatomy.

What do you do with the information derived from your routine carotid
echoes?
I have always believed that information is great - but only if it determines
some form of reaction. What I am asking , for example, is what do you do if
your carotid echo shows 50% stenosis in both internal carotid arteries? Does
it influence your management if the case you are operating on is an
otherwise routine and straight forward CABG?

In Leipzig no patient goes to OR without Valves echo, and in emergencies
they get a TEE.
All the elective pat get also carotid echoes, (even if the carotid is not
operated, it brings a lot for the risk stratification).
