Patient with h/o of Koch's treated twice. Sputum now negative for AFB.
Diagnosis.
No one can crib as this was one of the cases for their MCh exam today
and both of my students diagnosed the case and its management. (They get
one long case and 3 short cases followed by X Rays,Pathology specimens,
instruments , angiograms etc and a final viva voce. This was one of the
"common" short cases which are shared by both candidates.
The long cases were two Tetrads one was an adolescent Tetrad with RV
dysfunction and the other one got a child Tetrad The short cases - one
got a secundum ASD, a case of (non rheumatic) Aortic regurgitation and
the lung case. The other one got a primum ASD , rheumatic aortic
regurgitation and the common lung case.
both my students passed.
How do they conduct exams in other countries ?
