[HSF] Current Requirements for the ABTS

oh yes - and you old guys had to walk up hill both ways in the snow,  
barefoot, to the hospital.  All kidding aside, lets not forget the  
recent current equation:
4 years medical school +
5 years general surgery residency +
2 years research +
2-3 years CT surgery fellowship +
1 year "super fellowship"
multiplied by
lots-o-debt
=
no jobs/low salaries/malpractice (Hal am I missing anything?)

what is the answer?  dont know, but no one is dealing with it.

but that is the american training system that is getting ragged on......
what about some of the International systems?
I have, in my training, worked with a bunch of international "surgeons"
    and yes, some are excellent - but some cant even tie their shoes  
(let alone
    manage to figure out which one goes on which foot)

we seem to have this exchange every couple of months
