Without a doubt the best radiologic study for aortic disease is a thin sliced CT. This can be done in almost all hospitals in the US today, is easy to do and easy to read. In many places it also allows 3D reconstruction for the very best measurements.

Subject: [HSF] Dilated ascending aorta
Hello forum members
I am not sure if this has been discussed before. In patients with dilated
aorta, which investigation is most reliable to measure the aortic
dimensions?
CT chest, angiogram or transthoracic echo?
