I think this was Steve Bolling at Michigan???    Delayed management  
of acute Type A with neurologic or visceral compromise.   Patient who  
improved were then
offered primary repair and survival rates were better than taking all  
comers....Controversial paper, but maybe in some severe dissections a  
worthwhile approach.
