Thanks for this citation, Dr. Damle. There was also a recent article to this effect in a nursing journal...but I have not been able to dig it up.  I'm 54 and have not been on pump.  :)

If one studied the general population of the age of the typical CABG patient, would one find a slight decline in cognitive function over 3 years?

My husband had CABG when he was 48, went back to work as a school administrator, learned how to play the guitar, and he's always the one coming up with the many names or titles of various people and events that *I* can't remember.

Is it known whether David Letterman or Bill Clinton had on- or off pump CABG?
