  You're right, but I'm sure advertising alone wouldn't begin to make  a  
publishing company profitable.  I don't know how much an average  journal article 
costs via the internet, and I'm sure it's too much, but I do  believe these 
publishing companies do deserve to make something for the  article.  This type 
of mind set that everything on the internet should be  freely shared is the 
same one that's currently killing the music  business.  Internet piracy of 
intellectual property is wrong.  Along  the same lines of thinking, how would you 
like to have to do all of your surgery  for free?
