Hal,
Interestingly, I have a 10cm. ascending aneurysm to do on Monday. I
haven't seen the CT yet but am concerned about it's relationship to the sternum
so am contemplating a right chest approach if it is adherent to the posterior
table. Did you have any problems with the sternal entry? I anticipate
going on pump through the groin vessels prior to opening the chest and will
likely do only a tube graft, depending of coarse upon what the sinuses look like,
as he has minimal AI which should improve with reorientation of the ST
junction. A 64 slice cor angio. is being done today which will influence the
approach but his coronaries were okay in 2001. I'll try to get some images from
the CT to share.
