Neither intraoperative nor postop thrombotic complications were encountered. The follow up 3 months later didn't show any thrombosis incidence neither there were clinical findings.
 
I agree, the patient will be sensitive to heparin for the next 6 months after receiving the epoprostanol but we didn't have another option. The surgery indication was urgent (cardiac transplant, endocarditis, ...) in all cases.
If the TAS Analyzer were available here, anticoagulation with lepirudin and on-line determination of the Ecarin Clotting Time during CPB would be my first choice, of course.
