Welcome back ... nice to read for you again .. I've been lurking myself for
a while ..
yes, I quite agree to your criticism, also if you look at their illustrative
drawings; it is completely showing insertion of the balloon deeper to the
aortic "annulus", likely to push the AML when the LV is saline filled under
pressure, pushing the balloon upwards in the LVOT. Having the balloon at or
above the aortic "annulus" would not actually be feasible with a full
aortotomy incision to the depth of the NC Sinus ... it simply will jump out
..... having the baloon below annulus would provide a false "smiling" valve
on testing .... a well known issue
