Dear Prasanna,
I reviewed all my mails from 2005 till now and found several very precious postings by you,Hal,Dr.Frater and others about mitral repair. You have descibed very important details of the repair in rheumatic pathology.I have several questions in this regard:
1.can you send a drawing of the panneth burr repair
2.How do you knot the annuloplasy sutures to the exact length required( do you hold them in position by booted clamps and if so don't this maneuver dirupt the continouty of the suture)
3.How did you come to the idea that İnfraposterior mitral area is important in the prediction of the durability of the repair( asked by Dr.Frater previously but the answer didn't satisfy me)
4.Does mitral repair success mostly depend on the function and integrity of the anterior leaflet ( the basis for mitral posterior prosthesis idea-Mitrofast)? If not can you please comment on it.
BTW LV saline insufflation can also be accomplished by a retrograde self inflatable cardiplegic cannulae put through an aortic stab wound.
