Ani,
  If I do turn him down (which I will most likely), I will definitely  
suggest he seek another surgical opinion if he so desires.  I'm pretty  confident, 
however, that if I turn him down, he'll stay turned down.  Over  my career, 
I've done lots of patients that were turned down by others.  The  majority did 
well, a few didn't.
