I have tried it once. High gradient both by echo and direct measurement with a 21 aortic. Took it out and replaced it with a 23 mosaic ( no way a 23 biocor would fit) with a reasonable <15mm mean gradient by echo and 10 to 15 gradient by direct measure. Probably won't use it again in the aortic. Also concerned about longevity. Studies are limited.

we have had long experience with this valve in aortic and mitral
positions. Slightly bulky for aortic valves but excellent valve.

It's chuck Hal, and you bet. Say, what do you and our colleagues have to say
about the Biocor St. Jude bioprosthesis in the aortic position. Any experience ?

Dr. Douville,
Thanks for your input. I pretty much agree. I forget, is you name Chuck
or Ed?
Hal
