Excellent approach for redo operations, in selected patients, and we
have reported the technique in the literature.
Furthermore, surgeons such as Angelini from England, are performing
complete revascularization via the left thoracotomy approach, and they
tell me that this has greatly simplified the procedure.

Subject: [HSF] RE: Left lateral thoracotomy for CABG
Dear Forum members:
Those of you who attended the recent AATS where in a session chaired by
Dr.
Joseph Sabik less invasive CABG was presented i.e. on pump beating
through
Left-lateral thoracotomy. It seems that the some of the folks at
Cleveland
Clinic have gone that route. Any comments from the valuable members.
I did not attend the meeting but heard about this.
It would be interesting to hear from all of you
Ahmed
