The case you describe caries a significant cross-clamp, pump and  
recovery time
plus at least a 10% stroke risk (porcelin aorta), redo with root  
replacement.

Its easy to be a Saturday morning quarterback, but I would bet he will
not enjoy a great result, and have a prolonged recovery.     And,  
despite
your excellent surgery, I doubt he will live to 96!

So, from this distance, I would say no.    However, you are closer to  
the
situation and I would respect whatever you decide.
