To Tom Martin:
I think is better to left quiet your patient at present and wait for symtoms
or another manifestations and changes on heart examinations.

his golf game 3 times per week due to a hip problem. Found on routine echo
to have sig murmur. Echo shows moderate MR with a popped chord at P2 with
extensive calcification of posterior annulus and leaflets and sig
calcification of annular portion of the anterior leaflet. MR jet is very
excentric. No chamber enlargement with normal LV function. Aortic valve is
described as sclerotic but has calcification and immobility of the
noncoronary leaflet and mod calcification of the right coronary leaflet but
no real gradient with a calculated valve orifice area of >2. Cath shows
normal coronaries except for mod calcification of the prox left. The mitral
annular calcification is very clear on cath as is the aortic leaflet
calcification. His ascending aorta is quite tortuous and measures about 4cm
by echo and his father has had multiple aortic aneurysms. His films were
viewed at another out of state institution

recommended.

doing a AVR/MVR/ascending. Am I missing the boat on this one?
