Hal

I take it by extension that if you needed a mitral today you would vote for an ATS band....mmm

Looking forward to hearing your views in Leipzig - hope you give the single-theme evangelists and dinosaurs a hard time as you usually do. I have heard you question the experts and evangelists several times and have no doubt that you always speak for what you see as the best regardless of which direction it comes from. I have also seen your views change over the years as new understanding and experience emerges. The meeting has some weird stuff on as usual - thankfully no mitrofast this year, but by your analogy would anyone really want a sutureless AVR placed open in their loved ones? Well hopefully someone will stand up and ask the ethics of such demonstration!

For those who might think my previous posts indicate I'm some kind of shill for Edwards, do know that I haven't implanted an Edwards mitral, either porcine or pericardial, in years.? For mitral bioprostheses, I prefer the SJM Biocor due to its low profile.? I use ATS bands for my mitral robotic cases.? In my opinion, the best policy to use in determining what you use is what you would prefer to have implanted in you or one of your loved ones.> > Hal> > > -----Original Message-----> From: rwmfglycar at aol.com> To: OpenHeart-L at lists.hsforum.com> Sent: Wed, 21 Nov 2007 12:39 pm> Subject: Re: [HSF] Mitroflow valve> > > > > Carmi,> > Before you automatically accept a claim like that ask the rep to produce a "23" > Mitroflow and a "19" Edwards and their respective sizers.
