Ani,
Your description of conditions around the world is accurate. There is one  
thing in common: a large proportion of money available for health care does not  
get to the patients or the care givers.
In the developing world it is stolen by corrupt politicians or pissed  away 
by incompetent bureaucrats; in the developed world it goes to grow the  
corporate  profits that are needed to keep Wall Street happy. 
The one constant is that in every country there are care givers who so like  
what they do that they continue to give their best to their patients whatever  
the circumstances.
