Zero times.
Use it every day.
We investigated the claims in the original NEJM article with a database 5 times larger than Magnano's, presented our contradictory findings at the AHA 2006 and published them in circulation last month. Circulation, Sept 11, 2007; 116[suppl I] I-127-133
Thus we have continued to use it every day.
I am however very interested in reading / reviewing the full analysis of the reuslts from this new study.

Tony,
How many times have you been asked by a postop patient (with a greenish
glint in their eye) if you gave them aprotinin? I'm sure after the newspapers
pick up this latest salvo that there will be a new wave of greedy patients
and lawyers asking the nervous dispensers of aprotinin. Personally, I've got
very little exposure since I largely eliminated it from my practice after the
1st NEJM article.
Hal
