Ani,
  I sure as heck wouldn't routinely advise tissue valves for patients  in 
their 40's.  For one thing, we've no assurance that the valves delivered  by a 
catheter are going to hold up.  For the average dependable young  patient, 
mechanical valve replacement remains the best choice IMHO.  The  case being 
discussed is just another reason why I avoid the Ross since  it converts single valve 
into double valve disease.  However, at the  Society of Heart Valve Disease 
meeting, I was pretty impressed with the Ross  expert at your hospital.
