[HSF] failed homograft 13 years later

I would consider all options open . We have been able to place valves inside homografts in the past but most of the time the root is so calcified that it is almost impossible to do.

Colleagues, I have a 30 yr old male who had a homograft root AVR done at age 17 
for bicuspid Aortic valve. He is back now with CHF, mean gradient 68 mmHg and 
normal LV function. Would anyone give him a mechanical valve through the 
conduit, given his youth? thanks chuckdouville
