81 year/old, getting her hair done at a beauty parlor.
Fell on outstretched left arm - severe dislocation of left elbow with
fracture.
Taken to outside hospital - found to have 4 mm ST elevation
Flown right to our cath lab - arm not reduced yet (now 4 hrs out)
Severe multi-vessel CAD with fresh clot in her RCA........
Previous left breast CA with radiation (and skin changes)
oh did I mention she tore her brachial artery and has an expanding hematoma
in her elbow - we shot the artery at the time of her cath and there looks
like a stump with a blush - and with a dusky hand with no signals....
plan: fix arm now, CABG in am - hopefully......
thoughts
just another routine 'low risk' case......
