I would imagine that even using a stent as a vechile for leaflets would likely have different stresses or distribution of stresses than a surgical implant.

I could be wrong but I am pretty sure that the leaflets are not the same  
shape as the Perimount leaflets. If they are not the same shape i.e. they have  
had to be altered to attach them to an expandable stent instead of a  coronal 
wire shape, then they are subject to different stresses in opening and  closing 
and different patterns of wear.
Please understand me. I am not saying that the valve is no good. It may be  
the only aortic valve in the world some day. I am not saying that Herz Zentrum  
Leipzig should not be trying it and of course you are honest. 
I would suggest that you don't bother with trying to justify  this venture. 
Just plod steadily along, being very strict with every  analysis you make. If 
things go well the results will speak for  themselves.
