The main advantage of the DBRS in the presence of any prosthesis is that it
doesn't compress the prosthesis whereas lifting the heart can cause
compression and potential disruption. Needless to say it has to be done on
partial CPB. Another trick  is to use a dental mirror to examine the
anastomosis.
