Michael,
A liver biopsy may be helpful to determine the underline liver problem. If there are a lot of necrosis and fibrosis, then risk is very high.
I thought they usually do a liver biopsy before transplant.

No liver biopsy
I just spoke to the Liver Attending - they are not looking to transplant her
("her heart may be too bad") and he thinks she is a bad cirrhotic.
I will probably turn her down (and she if anyone want to balloon
this).......
anyone on the Forum interested in a case - I can send her to Flordia? Tea?
India? NYC?
anyone?
