ed if you cannot get Glutaraldehyde for OSHA reasons (or whatever you
call it there) then you canuse the Glutaraldehyde in the boxes storing
Carpentier Edwards biological valves.I used to keep them when we did
not have Glutaraldehyde.
Incidentally I make Glutaraldehyde 0.5 % using Cidex 2 %. You need not
use the magicla 0.625 % The rationale is 0.3 % does not tan and 0.7 %
overtans and makes it into a brick. 0.5 % works well and is in fact
what Duran uses.When I asked Carpentier  why he used 0.625 %  he said
that was what the diluent was arranged for at that time.
