Thank you Bob, as you say, he came to Argentina with Jarvik to speak about
artificial heart and if was yes or not ethical its use in human being (
1981), after I could talk with him, as Bob wrote, he had developed the
artificial kidney, i belive in Holland before the Nazis enter in that, after
he ran away to the more open country in the world, USA, and started to work
at Cleveland Clinic if I am not wrong.
When I met he was in Salk Lake City.
I have special two memories, Kolff and Shumway and one still alive ( thanks
to God), Dr Saffi from Texas who teached too much about aortic surgery.
