[HSF] Thanks for your concern (OT)

Give your daughter a hug for me (and your wife, too, for that matter). Sounds like a lot of fun.

Yes, as I note over and over, it is hard to come up with single measurement or mean for life as we meet it that has much meaning.

Tea,
I'm pleased to report that my daughter's team was down 2-0 with 18
minutes left, and she had 2 breakaway goals to tie the game, the last coming
less than 30 seconds before the end. I don't know if the day's events have
any bearing, but I'm spent.

It is rather amazing is it not?

To paraphrase a sound point made by our Nobel laureate President this
week, we see you as you are and not as you wish to be. We are surgeons.

And, yes, life is good. And that qualifier is in large measure why we all
are so committed to making and preserving life as we can understand it.

Tea,
Frankly, I'm overwhelmed by this outpouring of kindness from you and all
my friends in HSF. It has definitely made a very difficult day a little
more tolerable. I know I haven't acknowledged all of my friends who've
posted. Rest assured I've read every one, and they're very much appreciated.
BTW, since when have you been laughing at my foibles? Currently, I'm with
my wife and kids watching my oldest playing soccer at left wing. Life is
good.

Dear Members,
The irony of the primary pulmonary hypertension thread became evident
this morning. My father had a respiratory arrest and passed away about
30
minutes ago. Again, I deeply appreciate everyone's concern.
